Founders Story - Lucy Hobbs

Lucy Hobbs worked for over 30 years as a creative art director and writer in some of London’s leading advertising and digital agencies.

In 2007 she was diagnosed with ADHD, which helped her make sense of both her challenges and her creative strengths. Later, in 2021, she also discovered she was autistic — adding further clarity to her experiences. For years she chose not to disclose her neurodivergence, fearing stigma in an unforgiving industry.

That changed in March 2018, when Lucy spoke openly about her experience at an industry conference. The response made her realise the urgent need for a safe space where neurodivergent people could share their stories and feel empowered to thrive.

Soon after, The Future is ND was born — a platform that has since grown into a consultancy, community, and movement for change.
